Our Process

We begin the process by working with you to determine what you do and don’t want from your ranch land. There are vast differences between working ranches, recreational ranches and shared amenity ranches. The Colorado Ranch Company takes the time with every client to help them understand the pros and cons of each specific ranch for sale in Colorado and help them identify which ranch type would best fit their criteria. Once we have identified specific ranches that fit our client’s needs, we travel to view the ranch property with the client or on behalf of the client.

As we view each property, we help our clients identify unique characteristics of the ranch including the specific challenges a ranch might have, the available potential a ranch might possess, as well as the current day to day operations. Some of the areas that we specialize in identifying and reviewing with our clients include water rights, conservation easements, livestock capacities/animal units, grass and hay production, wildlife habitat, live water fisheries, easements/restrictions, and access to and from the ranch.

We view ranches for sale in our multi passenger utility vehicles when appropriate; we can also view ranches via horseback, snowmobile, hiking, snowshoe, or 4X4 crew cab pickup. On each ranch viewing we utilize our interactive mapping systems that show that specific ranch land along with our current, real time location on the ranch, which enables our client to understand the topography and layout of the ranch land. On those long days that find us miles from town and looking for lunch, we pack a cooler and provide a picnic lunch for clients.
